Comprehensive Health and Family Systems of care are developed on behavioral health, mental health and medical needs of children, adolescents, adults and their families can be met within their home, school, and community environments. These systems are also developed around these principles: Child-Centered, Family-Driven, Strength-Based, and Culturally Competent with interagencies collaboration. Comprehensive Health and Family Services have embraces and promotes these core principles of systems of care.                                                               

 Program Objectives:

Comprehensive Health and Family Services objectives for children and their families are to promote the community primary behavioral, mental, health and family services care provision and other services within the context of a system of care that weaves behavioral healthcare, mental healthcare, medical healthcare and other supports into a coordinated fabric of services to meet the diverse, highly individual, and changing behavioral, mental, medical, educational, and supportive needs of children, adolescents, and adults with severe emotional disturbance, and untreated serious health conditions due to the lack of income.

The system-of-care model is based on a philosophy built on three hallmark tenets:

(1)Primary care behavioral health, mental health, medical treatment and family  services systems are driven by the needs and preferences of the child and family;

(2) Services are community based; their management is built on multi-agencies collaborations; 

(3) The services offered by Comprehensive Health and Family Services, community/faith based organizations and other agencies participating, and the programs generated to meet the primary care behavioral health, mental health and other needs of the children, adolescents, adults and their families are both responsive and sensitive to the cultural context and other characteristics of the populations being served.

(1) Infrastructure to house, organize, coordinate, and manage the integration and conduct of program elements

(2) Service delivery to undertake the services and interventions that directly serve and involve children, adolescents, adults and their families.

 South Carolina American Youth Football League

SCAYFL is a charter member of the AYF and a league member of the USA Football which  was endowed by the NFL and NFL Players Association in 2002 and is composed of members – youth coaches, league commissioners and game officials – residing in all 50 states. USA Football is the Official Youth Football Development Partner of the NFL and NFLPA. The independent non-profit organization hosts more than 100 football training events annually offering education for coaches and game officials, skill development for players and resources for youth football league commissioners.
