Comprehensive Healthand Family Services have created a strategic plan to close the disaparities of behavioral and medical treatment in underserved low income communties,activities include 1) provide behavoral health and medical health care, and family services to underserved low income communities 2) we have establisheda research focused on behavioral health care treatment, medical health care treatment and family services disparities experienced by racial and ethnic minorities, the rural and urban poor,and other behavioral, and medically underserved populations; 3) conducted population-specific community-based research statewide, nationwide and globally; 4) enhanced the capacity to conduct behavioral health care,  mental health care, medical health care and family services disparities research ; 5) established behavioral health care, mental health care, medical health care and family services education programs for special populations;and 6) promote the inclusion of women, minorities and other underserved groups in clinical trials.

Comprehensive Healthand Family Services strategic plan and other initiatives, will translate new knowledge into prevention and treatment strategies to improve public health,  mental health and family services in low income communities.

We are a community based multi-collaborator organization which enabled us to work with all communities and faith based organizations and other agencies in the state of South Carolina, through out the United States and globally and gathering information from National Governmental Resources. Utilizing meta analysis to give us a complete queue of applications to transform the  research into action that improve behavioral  health and other health services in low income communities.

 Community Awareness Program

Comprehensive Health and Family Services Community Education Program Addresses Health Disparities that equips participants with actionable knowledge about:

• Health Disparities: Awareness of health disparities and strategies to address them; cultural and linguistic competence; data collection; and program evaluation.
• Integration as a Strategy to Address Health Disparities: Leveraging primary and behavioral health integration to address health disparities; clinical, finance, and operational models of integration; health and wellness; evidence-based practices; engaging consumers and families in recovery.
• Leadership Skill to Reduce Health Disparities: Adaptive leadership techniques; change management; collaborations and teamwork; and conflict resolution.
